    In a world that moves fast, Restorative Yoga invites you to pause, soften, and surrender. This gentle, deeply supportive practice uses bolsters, blankets, and blocks to encourage the body to release tension and settle into stillness. Unlike traditional active yoga styles, these long-held, passive postures (3–20 minutes or more) allow the nervous system to shift into deep relaxation, replenishing both body and mind.

  • Sophia’s yoga journey began in 2019 with a 200-hour training guided by her teachers Lynn and Sumei from Space and Light Yoga. It was here that she laid a strong foundation in Hatha yoga that focused on alignment – while also nurturing a deep connection with her body and breath. As Sophia’s practice deepened, she found her heart drawn to the gentle embrace of both yin and restorative yoga, which spoke to her soul with their powers of stillness and reflection.

    Beyond the mat, Sophia is also a mindfulness life coach and sound healing practitioner. As part of her own healing journey, she founded the coaching platform A Gentle Pace to uplift individuals who are on their unique paths to mental and physical well-being, offering a space for them to slow down and embrace living more mindfully.

    No matter the season of life, Sophia hopes that her heart-centered approach can gently guide others towards moments of pause and help them rediscover the light within themselves.

  • A Gentle Pace was born from my own healing journey after the loss of my baby daughter, Tiffany.

    In navigating life after baby loss, I came to understand the limitations of grief support; especially for bereaved parents. What I learned along the way is that the grief never really goes away. And losing a child is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can hold.

    In the quiet, darker seasons of my life, I began turning inward and toward community healing, drawing on the practices I had been living and teaching as a wellness practitioner.

    Slowly, organically, A Gentle Pace took shape.

    This space exists because I know what it’s like to live with big feelings and to keep going anyway. It is a place that honours both grief and joy, and the courage it takes to let them coexist.

    At A Gentle Pace, my intention is to support individuals in taking ownership of their wellbeing, through yoga, sound therapy, and mindfulness-based life coaching; offering moments of pause, presence, and gentle returning, no matter which season of life you are in.

  • Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses vibrations and frequencies to promote relaxation and well-being.

    While benefits of sound healing varies from individuals, during a sound healing session, it can reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance focus, and promote deep relaxation. Many clients also find it helps release emotional blocks and supports overall well-being.

    Note: Come in your comfortable clothing + an open mind!

Blessings & Sacred Milestones

For moments that deserve to be witnessed, I hold baby and bridal blessing ceremonies as a trained space-holder facilitator. These are intimate, gently guided gatherings where loved ones come together to honour new beginnings and meaningful transitions. I offer these ceremonies upon request and only when there is resonance and alignment.
